TENNANT CREEK PRIMARY SCHOOL - UPGRADING EXISTING MULTI PURPOSE HALL

The project comprises the upgrading of an existing covered, but open, multi purpose space at the Tennant Creek Primary School. The existing space had to be extended in area to accommodate up to 350 children as well as increased in height whilst maintaining existing adjacent facilities such as canteen and staff preparation area.

The new facility includes stage, store rooms and external verandah areas. The existing canteen was retained and integrated into the design.

The new hall is serviced with evaporative cooling and a large 'big ass' fan. The hall will be capable of being opened up onto the adjacent verandah areas during the cooler times of day or evenings through electronic vertical glazed sliding doors.

Construction work has recently been completed.
