ENERGY RESOURCES OF AUSTRALIA (ERA) FIT OUT ENERGY HOUSE

ERA is one of the largest uranium producers in the world. To meet their need for additional office space within Darwin CBD one floor of Energy House (Cavenagh Street) was leased and fitted out from the base building shell.

Les Platt was engaged by the interior design head consultant to undertake the preparation of the project brief, to assist with the design, coordination of engineering consultants and contract documentation.

The brief required extensive consultation with user groups (senior management, scientists, engineers and administration) and included the development of space schedules, block plans, detailed room data sheets and planning options.

The fit out includes a minimum of individual offices, open planned work areas, extensive breakout  and planning rooms, staff support facilities and the development of two existing internal atriums as outdoor breakout spaces.
